Chan, who almost died shooting one of his movies, stated he found happiness through donation. He went onto add that once you become a philanthropist, it's difficult to stop because you worry about what others will think of you. "I have no choice but to do good things because people around me expect me to do so," he commented.

He added that he plans to focus on children's education and rehabilitation. Chan encouraged others to donate by saying, "A few hundred dollars of surgery money can change a child's life." Chan is currently shooting a movie in New Mexico, U.S.A.

Jackie Chan sends USD 10,000 and letter of encouragement to Kim Jang-hun

Singer Kim Jang-hun recently received a letter in Korean from Asian actor Jackie Chan. In the letter, which Kim publicly revealed, Chan wrote, "I heard about a young man who's relentlessly offering his services for the needy. Although small in amount, I wanted to take part in your deed." In addition, Chan wrote, "Most of all, please take care of your health. I hope you will continue to offer your beautiful services to those in need."

Kim stated that Chan's letter and check was like the swallow who came to Heungbu (who was the good-hearted one, unlike his wicked older brother, Nolbu) right after he fell sick at the West Coast Festival. He went to add, "Jackie told me not to reveal it because he was embarrassed, but I decided to do so because I found him so genuine and the letter so cute."
Chan had sent the letter along with a check in the amount of USD10,000 to Kim after he heard about Kim's collapse during the West Coast Festival this past July. At a concert held in Boryeong on December 6, Kim donated the money to the city.

[South Korea Gyeonggi-do] Seongnam Arts Center

[South Korea Gyeonggi-do]
The place where nature’s beauty and line of art breathes
Seongnam Arts Center

The Seongnam Arts Center is a culture & art complex where the tradition and modern times mingle together, motivated by the representative structure of Sungnam, Namhansanseong. The Sungnam Arts Center where the nature and art of Seongnam, and Korea’s history and culture are harmonized imbues nature into the hearts of those who seek here, and lets them rethink the history.
The Seongnam Arts Center, a beautiful space where we can enjoy beautiful melodies, puts a symbolic color on each hall. They painted the Opera House red in wishing daily prosperity, and painted the Concert Hall yellow in wanting to succeed the history and culture. The Opera House creates the dynamic, emotional gestures and the image of sound in a modern viewpoint, equipped with a grandeur space of 1804 seats. You can see the optical fibers scattered on the ceiling when the music pours into you and you look up. The outer glass of the Concert Hall boasts of elegant construction beauties as an acoustic hall and theater specializing in musical performances. The soft curves of the large grand piano were symbolically expressed here. Listening to the piano melodies in the seats where the reverberating light of indirectly reflected illumination presents a true romance. The ensemble theater, where the stage and seats freely move, is a state-of-the-art stage where experimental stage productions are possible, as to even hold a fashion show in it. Namhansanseong and the Seongnam Arts Center filled with musical melodies are simple as the castle walls themselves, and can thus be diversely applied according to the characteristics of the produced exhibition. That is why that the location is ever-new and colorful.
