Jackie Chan sends USD 10,000 and letter of encouragement to Kim Jang-hun
Singer Kim Jang-hun recently received a letter in Korean from Asian actor Jackie Chan. In the letter, which Kim publicly revealed, Chan wrote, "I heard about a young man who's relentlessly offering his services for the needy. Although small in amount, I wanted to take part in your deed." In addition, Chan wrote, "Most of all, please take care of your health. I hope you will continue to offer your beautiful services to those in need."
Kim stated that Chan's letter and check was like the swallow who came to Heungbu (who was the good-hearted one, unlike his wicked older brother, Nolbu) right after he fell sick at the West Coast Festival. He went to add, "Jackie told me not to reveal it because he was embarrassed, but I decided to do so because I found him so genuine and the letter so cute."
Chan had sent the letter along with a check in the amount of USD10,000 to Kim after he heard about Kim's collapse during the West Coast Festival this past July. At a concert held in Boryeong on December 6, Kim donated the money to the city.
