Goyang’s landmark born with the design tailored for spectators
Goyang Aram Nuri Arts Complex
The Goyang Aram Nuri Arts Complex, meaning ‘large and beautiful world,’ is located on the skirts of Jeongbalsan, Ilsandong-gu, Goyang, Gyeonggi Province. It is one of the two major cultural strong points of Goyang, along with the Goyang SPART Complex & Park, which opened at Deokyang-gu, Goyang in September 2004. The Goyang Aram Nuri Arts Complex consists of the Aram Theater for operas, Korean classical operas, musicals and ballet, the Aram Concert Hall with the optimal conditions for orchestra performances, and the Saerasae Theater for various genres of performances. Besides the above, there are the Norumok Outdoor Theater, the Aram Art Gallery equipped with variable partitions, the Aram Library dedicated to the literature of arts, and Aram Masle, space to rest.
Saerasae Theater is broken down into 16 guest seats. This is to make the stage variable for plays in going along with the intention of producers, where all genres of performances are possible, from fashion shows to yard plays. Besides, it is equipped with chairs from the Japanese company Kotobuki, which are exclusively installed in the London Royal Albert Hall and the Seoul Arts Center Concert Hall. Furthermore, heat rays were installed between the guest seat gaps in the front to decrease temperature differentiations, to mind even the sound flows coming from temperature disparities. The Goyang Aram Nuri Arts Complex was constructed with the world as its measuring stick from the very beginning. It is sufficient enough to be the landmark that leads Goyang to a cultural city.
